My Model

So I like to take Madison out places to experiment with my camera. Since I don't know many people here in UT yet she gets to be my model!!! Its funny cuz I will just say K Madi go stand by that wall. The rest is TOTALLY up to her!!! I am still trying to get better and know I have a long ways to go.. I think I got the creativity down, its just the lighting and such I am still getting to learn!!! Anyways hope you like!!

I don't know what it is about this group, but the amaze me. Their music is awesome. Their new cd that came out this week is off the wall!! I love watching them in concert. It was funny cuz Tracy Lawrence ( I missed him which is fine but I dont really like him anyways, played while I was at the meet and greet.) played before them and my friend Kate who had never been to a Sugarland concert, was like Tracy was so blah and then Sugarland came out and the energy in the crowd completely flipped around.... If you haven't heard their new cd, you should!!!

Kate is so amazing to take this long treck with me!! It was so much fun! A HUGE thank you goes out to her and the amazing friend that she is!!!!!

A Great Birthday

My 26th birthday was yesterday!!! Thank you to ALL of you who called or emailed! It means a lot for you to remember my birthday! I know everyone is busy in life and it is not a big deal to me if you forget but I want to make it a big deal if you remembered!!!!! SO THANK YOU!!!

I started the day off by going to IHOP! I haven't had it in forever! Then Kate and I ventured out and went shopping! I got a ton of cute shirts I am way excited about!! Then we went out to my Aunt Lynn's house for cake and ice cream, since it was my birthday I could have whatever I wanted for lunch and that is what I had!! Then we came home got ready played guitar hero for awhile and then went out to PF Changs for dinner!!! YUMMY YUMMY!!! And the best part was my brother Justin was in town and he got the chance to sneak away from his business meetings to come eat with us!! That sure was a TREAT in itself... Its so awesome to be so close to family all around, it has been a long time since I have had that!!! Since 2003 as a matter of fact!!! But before I go on I have to tell you something so funny. We told Ethan who is Kate's 5 year old son that Justin helped with Yo Gabba Gabba. And you should have seen the look on his face. I wish I woulda had my camera out for it. He met his first famous person he was so excited. Justin even gave him a YGG business card and he was pumped!! Then we were saying our goodbyes and Ethan says have fun with that yo gabba gabba stuff! hahah.... Kids are so cute! So after dinner we went to Temple Square and walked around. I couldn't even tell you the last time I was at Temple Square but it was awesome. And now that I have a good camera and know a FEW things about taking pictures I got to play with it!!! It was so much fun! Then we ended the day with Cold Stone!!! It was a packed day but a great one!! And of course the only thing missing was my HUSBAND!!!!

So its been awhile since I talked about Sugarland on here!!! haha. I bet everyone is glad!! BUT it is time ONCE again for me to go see them in concert!!! My friend Kate bought me tickets for us to go see them in WY!! How fun! How awesome of Kate to do this for me! She is an amazing friend!!! She has helped me out so much since I have been here and there are no words to thank her enough!!! We are gonna take a road trip and head out next Friday!!! YEAH YEAH!!!! I moved to Utah to be with Kate while our husbands were deployed. This girl has been my rock! I met her in Alaska in 2006. We were at church and our kids (Madi and Aidan who are 4 months apart) were crabby so we were both out in the hallway. Never introduced ourselves just talked about our kids, cuz they were so little at the time!! So the next day I have a message on my myspace page and its from a girl Kate. Im like I don't know any Kates.. And she was like I hope this isnt weird but I am having a pampered chef party tomorrow night if you wanna come. I had just moved back up there and didn't know anyone so I was like sure why not!! And the rest is history!! So did we meet on myspace or at church?!? We usually say myspace cuz people laugh!! hahaha. I think its awesome. This girl is my rock. She has helped me so many things. Being away from my family is the hardest thing. I moved to Alaska while Jason was still gone hoping to get a home together for him before he got home. I ended up with this GHETTO apartment in the middle of the "bad" neighborhood.. I had to get out. So Kate helped me move out and let me crash at her place for a week or so til our house was ready on post... She is the strongest person I have met. You have not met a strong woman until you have met her!! She amazes me. I feel like I have known her forever. And she just dropped the bomb on me yesterday that she is leaving back to Alaska in Aug cuz her hubby is comin home!!! MAN O MAN!!! I hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!! She is only 9 days older than me!!! haha.

It really was a Happy 4th of July

I had an amazing 4th of July even though I had to work for 10 hours!! The only thing missing was of course my husband. I miss him like crazy!!!!!!!!!

The fireworks were awesome!!! I don't know what it is about fireworks but they are freakin cool! I could watch them all the time and be perfectly happy!!!!



We went to the Stadium of Fire at BYU which was really cool. They did a HUGE tribute to military members. Families of deployed soldiers even got seats on the field. Wish we would have known about it... OH WELL!!! We were at the VERY top of the stadium but it was PERFECT for the fireworks... We saw Blue Man Group which might have been cooler if we could actually see them!! And then of course Miley Cirus... She was pretty good. It was funny to hear all the freakin girls scream for her.. HOLY COW!!!! Anyways hope everyone had a happy holiday!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

The first pics are of Madi last year on 4th of July!! We lite some off last night and she was NOT havin it.. She was getting scared.. haha It was actually quite funny to me! Cuz the night before when we went to a rodeo and they had fireworks afterwards she LOVED them.. She got so mad when they were over (i think she was just super tired!!!)

And this is Jason shootin off his FIREWORKS.... Ok not really but he did tell me they are gonna shoot stuff off tonight. Leave it up to the Army guys to find fun things to shoot up!! Yes he does have flames on his back from the motar. This one was shot off for a purpose though.. What that purpose is.... I don't know, and don't really care too!! He said it was the loudest thing he has EVER heard.. YA THINK?!?

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY.. THIS IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE FIREWORKS AND STUFF. I REMEMBER MY FAVORITE 4TH'S ON THE BEACH WATCHING THE FIREWORKS SHOOT OFF THE PEIR.. WAY COOL... JASON AND I'S FIRST 4TH BEING MARRIED (OUR ACTUAL FIRST 4TH OF JULY WE DIDNT EVEN GET TO SEE FIREWORKS CUZ IT DIDNT GET DARK ENOUGH IN ALASKA TO SEE ANY!!!!) WE WERE ABLE TO SPEND IN CALIFORNIA. WE WENT TO DISNEYLAND AND GOT TO SEE THE FIREWORKS THERE WHICH IS WAY AWESOME CUZ THE FIREWORKS GO WITH THE MUSIC. AND THEN WE GOT TO WATCH FIREWORKS AT THE BEACH. I WAS 4 MONTHS PREGO WITH MADI AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY. JASON WAS DEPLOYING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A MONTH AND WHEN ALL THE PATRIOTIC SONGS WERE PLAYING ALL I COULD DO WAS CRY... BUT AT LEAST HE WAS THERE TO HOLD ME!!!! IM WAAAAY JEALOUS THAT MY PARENTS AND MANDY AND FAM GET TO SEE FIREWORKS IN DC.. HOW COOL IS THAT TO BE AT THE NATIONS CAPITOL FOR THE 4TH!! NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE THERE FOR SURE!!! AS FOR ME, TONIGHT I WILL BE AT THE STADIUM OF FIRE IN THE BOX SEATING WITH SOME FRIENDS... YES BE JEALOUS I GET TO SEE MILEY CIRUS!! HAHAHHAHA.... I KNOW MY NIECE HAILEY AND STEP DAUGHTER ALEAH ARE JEALOUS OF ME.. ANYONE ELSE?? K IM JUST EXCITED TO SEE THE AWESOME FIREWORKS I HEAR BYU PUTS ON.. THIS WILL BE MY FIRST YEAR TO SEE THEM SO KINDA COOL!!!ANYWAYS HAPPY 4TH!! AND THANK YOU TO THOSE PAST AND PRESENT WHO HAVE SERVED THIS COUNTRY. BE SAFE!!!!
