Home Made Rolls

K so this does not happen often. But I am so stinkin proud of myself this was TOTALLY worth a blog!!!! I will post more tomorrow about what we have been up to in November but for now this is what you get!!!

I MADE MY FIRST BATCH OF HOME MADE ROLLS!!!!! Man o man. This is the first year that me and Jason will be cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. The first and second year he was deployed and the third year we spent it with my Family in Arizona. So this is our 4th and here we are in Alaska finding ourselves cooking our first Tday dinner! I am kinda excited. We went shopping today to get all the stuff and I decided that I would make a batch of rolls today just in case they dont turn out. Not that I was doubting myself, but rolls are important at Thanksgiving dinner. So of course I took pics!!!!

Here is the mix before it rose.
Getting ready to make it in circles for rolls.
I realized that I dont have a rolling pin or a round cookie cutters. Guess its a good thing I had glasses to use!! Madi loves helping in the kitchen. I cut the circles and she folded them and put them in the pan...

Then added the butter

She watched these rolls in the oven

SO happy to be in the kitchen!

And here they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we have been up to in October!!

Jason and I have started date nights every weekend. Its been nice to get out and do things together. Before a few weeks ago it had been WAAAAY too long since we had an actual date....

We made our pizzas. Madi has so much fun in the kitchen always!

I cannot remember a Halloween without having orange pumpkin shaped pancakes for breakfast! So tradition rolls on in this home!

I think this is why she likes to help in the kitchen! Makin cupcakes!

Madi being Madi. She loves this table we bought her. We have too much living room furniture that we dont have room for a table so we bought madi one instead!

Halloween! She is such a cute witch. I can say that Im the mom!!! She LOVES dressing up so halloween is a big friend of hers!

Yes she is a poser. On her own.

She is so silly. She cracks herself up which cracks me up!

I got real dressed up!!

We took her to a carnival they had on the Air Force Base here. She loved it.

Dont ask me what she is doing. I have no idea. She is playing! haha

She is such the lil artist when it comes to decorating. She did this on her own. I put the stuff down went and cooked in the kitchen and she said mom come look!

Pumpkin Carving

Everyone WATCH OUT!!! 2 Posts in ONE month!! WHOOT WHOOT!

K for real Madison was sooo funny with this dang pumpkin. She wouldnt touch it til I put my hand in there. So I dug in so she thought it would be ok. She pulls her hand out and was discusted. What kid doesnt like to get dirty?? UM MINE... Which is weird.. So I gave her the scooper and everytime she pulled her hand out she wanted me to wash it.

See the lil scared look on her face... I was seriously laughing!!

And this would be her fighting to get the stuff off the side without getting dirty... She failed... but I LOVE her face in this photo!!

Now she loved this part. We cheated this year and used a layout. We told her to poke all the dots and by golly she did. She is such a perfectionist like her father..... (notice the flowers Jason brought home for me the other day!! so pretty)

Our lil Halloween counter... Madi thinks its so funny that the pumpkin has "hands." She makes that face now all the time. I will have to get it on camera!
I love Holidays. I love decorating but what I LOVE this year is that we have a home that is OURS that we can decorate however we want!!!

I love this candle holder I found and it was already on sale and it was the last one! Good 5 dollar investment for many Halloweens to come!!!

Campfire and Our house

We went to Beluga Point last night and didnt see any whales. I think they might have left for winter. I will have to do some research on Beluga Whales. I did find out they are on the endangered specie list. Makes me sad. I also learned they are at the top of the food chain in the ocean world for being eaten... Anyways after that we had a campfire and cooked chili in a dutch oven!! It was so yummy!!! I cant wait to have more today cuz chili is always good the second day!!!
Madison absolutely LOVES being outside by the fire. Matter of fact we decided the other night that Madi got to chose dinner. She said I want a hamburger from the campfire. It was so cute! We just packed stuff up ate dinner and went home! Too cold to campout at night!

Our friends from Fort Campbell finally got here! So they came along with us!
This is our home. We gotta do something about all the cords behind the TV but im just glad that we are done and its all decorated!!

Here is the living room.

Obviously the Kitchen. The orange bottle is our change jar. Jasons mom got it for us and its about 1/8 full of change! Lets get it full!!! Notice Dexter on the fridge? I miss him so much. I have a picture that I want to blow up and hang up but havent got around to it yet...

This is in Madi's room. We let her pick what she wanted on her name and she picked out all the animals...

Her bows. I think I need to add to her collection!

The guest bathroom...

We are now in ALASKA!!! Wow its been a CRAZY, to say the least, last 2 months.... We left Fort Campbell, KY on Aug 2. We got to Anchorage, AK on Sept 1. I hate living out of suitcases. We got to do a lot of fun things along our way though and it seemed like everyday we were somewhere new!! Here are the pics to take you through my journey!!

K well we are gonna go a little backwards cuz I already loaded all the photos and I am NOT about to redo them!!!

Obviously we made it!! And of course had to get our picture with this sign. Interesting thing about this we met a guy there. On his bicycle (the kind you peddle not a motorized one) and we were like so where you coming from cuz there is NOTHING around. He said I have been traveling from Montana and I am heading to Anchorage. He had been on bike for about 3 weeks by that time... HOLY COW!!! ALL he has was his bike and some things on the back of it. Talk about CRAZY!!!! But I am glad he was there cuz we got a photo of all 3 of us at the sign!

We got to Fairbanks, AK (where we lived before KY) and stayed with my friend Kate. I lived with Kate for a bit while Jason was deployed and Madi made a life long friend! She was so glad to see "Her Aiden" again!!

We went to North Pole, AK to the Santa Claus house!!

K this is in Idaho. This was our last stop to see family before we headed out on our adventure. We got to spend a week there! I was excited to be able to help my Grammy Lyon(dads side) move into an assisted living center!! That is the reason we stayed as long as we did. I am glad we stayed though and got to spend time with her. We stayed with my Grandma Marsden(moms side). I loved it though because they only live like 1/2 mile from each other, well farther now that we have moved Grammy Lyon. But going to grandmas house was always fun as a kid cuz we usually always got to see both of them in one trip!!

These photos were taken by Shelley Freckleton http://www.freckletonphogography.blogspot.com/!! I am amazed at how talented they are getting!!!

My cousin Natalie made a bunch of bows for Madi and they are so dang cute!!!!
My grammy lyon and her new place (it was still being organized at this time!!) Madi just adores her great grammas i think its awesome!!!

Me and my Grammy Lyon!!! She is such a fun spirited woman and I love her dearly!
My grandma Marsden. I love madi's face in this photo. This is how she ALWAYS was around her grandma!!! Well technically these are her great grandmas!!! haha
We got to stop in Boise and stay the night with my cousins. It was the last stop before we hit the road hard!!!

This photo is in Seattle, WA. We went to Pikes Market Place and Madi LOVED all the huge flowers that were there!! She was so excited when her daddy got her one. She held it proudly!!

And we made it to British Columbia.. It was dark outside when we got there!!

This was the next morning. Needless to say it was cold! We did not pack stuff for cold weather!

We went camping in BC one night and Madi loved the mallows!!! She pounded em!And this is her face. I tried to get a cute one of her smiling but I have like 10 pics of 10 different faces she gave me. This was the cutest! haha
Yet again CANT smile
Believe it or not she is really good about pouring stuff out. She just plopped right down and helped herself to some chocolate milk!!

So this is where the blog should have started!! If you are still with me great!!! These are some of the most amazing friends a girl could ask for. This is the group we hung out with most. This was at my going away party. There is Stephanie, me, Shawna and Heather. There is one missing in this photo so I put a pic of her below! She missed this photo op so I added her below!!

This is Chelsea!!!
This is me pretty much the whole truck ride... Man it was a long and boring drive!!!

We finally made it to Arizona and Madi just LOVES her gramma and papa.... She had many tea parties with her gramma....
Papa and Madi. I love the way they interact with each other. So fun to see my parents be kids again. I guess i didnt appreciate it much when I was a kid! haha
We went to the Science Center in Phoenix. Seems that madi is 3'4"!!
Showin Madi how these things dance to the music
Yes this thing is made of legos! Sooo cool!

We got to go over to cali and see my brother and his family. Of course we had to hit the beach! We had a bonfire that night with some bbq food that was SOOOOO delioush!!!

Madi loved the water. She got in, got taken under and didnt even scream. She loved seeing if she could outrun it though! She had a blast!!!Jason got taken down good by a wave im sad i didnt have my camera ready... he got knocked down. so Amelia taught him how to do it since he had never been before!

When we were in Idaho we went to Yellowstone. Jason had never seen it and its been a long time for me!

Oh excuse me are we in your way... Come on across its ok though cuz we have brakes!!!Picture compliments of Madi! I just liked how you could see the sky in my glasses! There it is. Old Faithful!!!Had to take this photo!
